Headed out to RP at about 5:15 for some easy laps til it gets dark if anyone cares to join, meet at CAVS or we'll just see you out there. Hope it is dry enough now.

Does anyone have any lights that they could let me use for the 24 hour race? I would like to pratice riding with lights before the race, and not sure if I want to buy any...but if I break yours I would buy em :|

Everyone, I'll have 4 sets of lights to rent out at the race. $25 gets you a bar-mount light and two batteries. Each battery will last about 1.5 hours. I'll have 2 quick chargers that will go first-come-first-served.

I have been told that you need a light on your helmet as well as on the handle bars, do you agree?

You can make-do with just one light either on your helmet or bars. Helmet lights are better since you can see where you're looking (which isn't always the direction the bike is going).

The rental lights are bar-mount only...and are certainly better than no lights at all.
